anthile Every once in a while the seeker of the strange and sublime come across a record that is unlike anything that came before. Spectra And Obsession is monumental in scope, both in sheer length but also in soundscape. A million musical ideas and twists are contained on this album, each more brilliant and dazzling than the last. It's like something out of a dream - music that only seems theoretically possible, dragged into the real and now. Favorite track: A Sickly Fruit Born Of Tragic Love.

Ryan Really a shame that this band broke up because this is one of the best black metal albums of the past decade. Spectra and Obsession is a massive album at almost 2 hours long, but keeps you completely engaged the whole time. The atmosphere is so dense it makes you feel like you're suffocating. This is a masterpiece in every sense of the word. Favorite track: Spectra And Obsession.

Bennick This is such an intensely creative, cinematic masterpiece, black metal with too many other genre fusions to name. I am, in fact, obsessed with this album which joyously ventures across various spectra. It's a triumph that's only matched by the weight of the crime of not publishing any lyrics for it. There's clearly a story here and I'm sort of desperate to know what it is. Favorite track: Spectra And Obsession.
